All the cow action you can stand in the latest issue of MARS ATTACKS from IDW, in shops as of yesterday! The usual team of Layman, McCrea and Elder, with wonderful edits by Mr. Denton Tipton, Esq.
A small piece from a splash page for Mars Attacks #8 which I am just finishing- more action, adventure and Martian Mayhem from John ( Chew ) Layman, Andrew Elder and me! Published by those fine folks at IDW.
MARS ATTACKS #6 due in stores December 19th! Rarely seen art from the cover of an anthology title put out by the students on one of my teaching courses. These classes were run by Hi8us over a 6 or so year period and the story was written ( in conjunction with the students ) by none other than everyones favourite achoholic Ben ( Pigs, Captain America ) McCool.
Ouch! A festively cold picture from MARS ATTACKS #6 from IDW which is due in shops December 19th- help the Martians celebrate Christmas by giving them your money!
Cover roughs to Jenny Sparks, the mini series I did with Mark Millar for Wildstorm. The cover on the right for #3 was not used but check out my editor's name ( who I was faxing the pics to )- that's right, none other than John ( Chew, Detective, Mars Attacks! ) Layman. He likes kitties....
Another unused Demon cover for DC comics, I don't think this was for any specific issue, I may just have had some spare time (!) and was noodling- anyway, it didn't make the cut....hold on, upon closer inspection, it was for issue 45.... I think I do prefer this version, but it was probably rejected as it's really got little to do with the story and is quite quiet. A recently completed page from MARS ATTACKS #8 for IDW. I'm a big Barry Winsdor Smith fan and always love his vertical panel pages - when I read the script for this page it seemed to fit. So many of my early try out sample art featured these style of pages but with varying degrees of success.... I recently did a number of illustrations ( with assitance from my top team of Keith Burns, Andrew Chiu and Jason Dennis ) for BBC Bitesize which were turned into motion comics for their online learning site. These are a few stills from them and you can follow the links below to see the actual animations. |
